#upsd - uk.people.support.depression IRC channel / chatroom

The 'chatroom' can be used by entering the following settings into an IRC client program such as 'mIRC':

IRC server: irc.upsd.org.uk (this is an alias for whatever irc server we are using)
portnumber: 6668 (or 6667)
channel: #upsd (type "/join #upsd" once connected to server)

Or if your web-browser supports IRC you maybe able to access the channel simply by entering the following URL into your browser: irc://irc.upsd.org.uk/upsd

Another option is access via the mibbit website, try: http://mibbit.com/?channel=%23upsd&server=irc.efnet.net

If all this sounds too complicated, just try clicking on one of the 3 links above. One of them will probably work.

Tips:

After joining you can change your nickname by typing "/nick yournewnickname". If the channel is quiet when you join you might want to wait a while to give people time to wake up and notice you or for other people to join, rather than leaving straight away.

September 2019: both webchat.org and webmaster.com seem to have completely disappeared several months ago. Therefore I've changed everything to point to the efnet IRC network instead.
